Individually established, our collaborations evolved into a creative partnership built around a shared belief that the strongest filmmaking comes from mastering a craft outside the director’s chair. Wilcox | Huber bring together directing, cinematography, editing, writing, still photography and producing. Keegan is a director, editor and writer, grounded in story, talent performance and editorial rhythm. Vic is a cinematographer and director whose work in motion and still photography brings an elevated eye for light, composition and image. We both also produce and direct our own documentary and narrative films. Just as important, we work as free agents outside the partnership. Keegan continues to collaborate with other creatives as an editor, while Vic works alongside other directors as a cinematographer and photographer. Those collaborations continually expose us to different creative voices, processes and ways of solving problems, continually evolving what we bring to the table as a directing duo. Our combined backgrounds give us an unusually complete 360 view of filmmaking. We understand what it means to originate an idea, but more importantly, what it means to help other creatives realize theirs. We think simultaneously about story, performance, image and edit and how even the smallest decision serves the whole picture. Our work is tonally dexterous, ranging from atmospheric storytelling and intimate moments to raw performance, comedy and highly technical automotive filmmaking.
